BIOGRAPHY

While coming from a musical upbringing, I have only recently  ventured into playing solo shows as a performer since retirement from my corporate job. The comment I get most from past co-workers is "I never knew, and where is your next show?"

I am a Northwest native from Tacoma, Washington. I guess my humble talents come mostly from my father.  My father, Roland Sr, was a Supply Clerk in the Air Force serving between the Korean Conflict and The Vietnam War.  Having won first place at an Air Force talent show my father quickly became a performer for the Air Force and traveled around in transport planes playing his Elvis style songs for the troops in the 50's and early 60's.  As a kid,  I remember our house being filled with shelves and shelves of trophies and awards from his Air Force shows.

Currently, I split my time between the Pacific Northwest and Northern California with Dorothy, my wife of 41 years. She is my biggest fan, my Videographer, my Sound Person and all around social butterfly.  I regulary play shows in both regions.

My shows focus on playing easy listening music from the 60's and 70's through today's hits. I perform songs from artists like Jimmy Buffett, Eric Clapton, The Eagles, Kenny Chesney, Neil Young, Don Gibson, Ricky Nelson, Johnny Cash, George Strait and many others.  I have a list of over 80 songs I can pull from. At a 2-hour show, I typically play about 20+ songs.  For a 3-hour show that number gets up to over 30 songs. I hope we can meet someday at one of my next shows.
